Webinar Based Training.

What is a Webinar Based Training? We’re glad you asked. Simply put, a Webinar Based Training is our newest training product. Simply put, it is a video conference held online. Our Webinars our held from our studio and held on the ZOOM video conferencing platform. Students can participate from any place they have internet access. This means you can participate from your home, office or anywhere you can connect to the internet. The format is one-way, you can watch as the instructor demonstrates and presents useful content, but the instructor and other students can not see or hear you. This was an intentional choice we made to respect student privacy, and also to conserve energy and Internet Bandwidth. You can, however, easily interact with other students and the instructor via the chat and Q & A functions ZOOM has built in to the platform. Over the past few months after introduction, we are pleased to report extremely positive feedback from students, especially regarding the view of techniques during demonstration. Everyone can clearly have the same view during instruction. It’s like having your own front row seat at the massage table.

What are the benefits of Webinar Based Training?

  • Convenience. The Webinars can be attended at any location that has access to the internet. As long as you have a SmartPhone, Tablet, PC or Laptop and an internet connection, you are good to go! That means you can attend from the comfort and privacy of your own home or office.

  • No travel. No longer do you need to take time off work and travel one day, attend class the next day and return home the following day. Our 12 Credit CEU Webinar classes are designed to be completed in one day.

  • Savings. No longer do you need to absorb the cost of travel, lodging and meals. No more airfare, taxis or shuttles. No more hotel expenses.

  • Clear Instruction. Based on numerous student feedback we have received, we have found that students can often see the techniques BETTER than during an In-Person Training event. All students can get the same close up camera view that is not always possible with 10 to 20 people around a massage table in a hotel conference room. Join us and see for yourself!

  • Moderated Interaction. We have structured Question and Answer Sessions after each unit and during other points during the Webinar. Everyone has the chance to ask the instructor any questions they have so they can get a better understanding of the techniques, theories and practice.

How does it work? All you need is a “connected device” that supports ZOOM video conferencing. A “connected device” is simply a PC, Laptop, SmartPhone (Android or Apple) or Tablet Computer that is connected to the internet. That’s it! You will only need to install the ZOOM App or client from the internet or App Store. Watch the video below to learn more about ZOOM webinars and how to use ZOOM and access a live Webinar.

Can you see or hear me during the Webinar? No. In order to deliver a better course structure and to lower the bandwidth required to deliver content, we made the decision to not turn off participants cameras and microphones. You still will be able to interact with us through the chat pod and Q&A pod.

How do I practice if there are no other live students? You have a few options and flexibility with our Webinars. You can partner up with another Massage Professional in your area taking the same Webinar. This allows you both to practice the techniques been learned. During the Webinar, all techniques will be shown twice to give each pair a chance to practice. If you don’t have another Professional to practice with, you may also use a friend or family member to practice on. You can practice on the other side when repeating the techniques if you desire.

What if I can’t find a volunteer to practice on? No problem. The Webinar is recorded and all students will receive access to the recording after the Webinar. Now you can practice at your own pace, when it’s convenient for you, as many times as you want until you have mastered the techniques.

How do I get started? First, purchase your Webinar Based Training course you are interested in and select the date and options that are best for you. Then check out at the store. In 24 to 48 hours before the Webinar goes live, you will receive an E-mail with the ZOOM registration link. Registration is required for all attendees but is quick and simple. You only need to fill out the form. Once you are registered, you will get an E-mail from ZOOM with the link as well as the meeting ID and Password. We highly recommend writing down the Meeting ID and Password, just in case you delete your E-mail or link by accident. To begin the Webinar, simply open the link that you got from ZOOM after you registered and you should be automatically logged in to the meeting. We suggest joining the meeting about 5 minutes before it starts.

What is included in the Webinar Only purchase? Purchase includes admission to 1 Live Webinar of your choice on the Date you choose, a manual, and access to the live recording after the Webinar. The accompanying Electronic Student Manual (ESM) sent attached in an E-mail to you. It is normally sent around the same time the ZOOM registration link is sent, 24 to 48 hours before the Webinar start time. It is in PDF format. Please note the manual will be an attachment, you will need to download the manual first to view it. You may want to print the manual to have during the Webinar. The Webinar will be recorded live. About 48 hours after the Webinar, you will receive another E-mail with the link to view the recording online. YouTube hosts our Webinar recordings.

What time do the Webinars begin? Check our Event Schedule page for dates and start times. The Webinar will open approximately 1 hour before class begins. You can enter and join the lobby and chat with other participants. There will be no Video or Audio until the Instructor is ready to go live at the listed start time.

Is there a test at the end of the Webinar? No. There is no test at the end of the Webinar. “Attendance only” completes the requirements to get credit for the Webinar.

What happens if I lose my connection or my device battery goes dead during the webinar? Log back in. Things happen. Dogs trip on cords. Wind knocks out power. Phone batteries go dead. We get it. If this happens to you, DO NOT PANIC. Once you are able, log back into the webinar. You will not be penalized for short interruptions in service. Just grab another device and log in.
