This Course will include Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, (OMT), strain-counterstrain and trigger points.

All techniques in course manual are demonstration and extensive hands-on practice will be given to students as they give and receive all techniques.

This course will introduce how Osteopathic Manipulative, Therapy, (OMT) which uses techniques that manipulate fascia (connective tissue), major muscle groups, joints, tendons and ligaments, to relieve muscular and soft tissue pain, dysfunction, and injuries, including:

  • Back Pain

  • Neck Pain

  • Sciatica

  • Foot, Ankle, Hip, and Knee Pain

  • Hand, Shoulder, and Elbow Pain

  • Headaches

  • Tennis and Golfer's Elbow

It is also utilized to help patient/clients regain and improve their health and fitness.

This course is specifically designed to be extremely useful for continuing education training for both new and advanced massage therapists wanting to work within the medical community qualified to treat specific conditions with knowledge and confidence.

Properly performed by a licensed massage therapist, Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, (OMT), restores the body’s structural balance, significantly reduces acute soft tissue pain, and improves flexibility.

This course will go over Massage techniques used performing Medical Massages and how they are performed, and what effect they have.

Students will be qualified to work with physician referrals. This course will cover:

  • Low Back Pain

  • Sciatica

  • Frozen Hips

  • Piriformis Syndrome

  • IT Band Friction Syndrome

  • Patella Tendinitis

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Achilles Tendinitis
