This is an 2 CEU Home Study course that consists of a downloadable and printable manual for you to study at your own pace. When you are ready, take the online test. Credit is given after passing the test with a score of 70 or higher. (More information on our Home Study Courses can be found here.)
Medical Errors course will address various elements inherent in professionalism in the professional workplace including boundaries, image, communication (verbal, non-verbal and written), professional relationships with clients and colleagues, responsibility and accountability, respectfulness, record keeping, privacy considerations and requirements in the healthcare setting.
The practical application of ethics to clinical situations is much more than following standards of practice. This course will provide the opportunity to apply foundational concepts of ethics to a variety of health care settings.
Major theories of ethics will be introduced, including virtue ethics, natural law, deontology, utilitarianism, casuistry and principlism to name a few.
Upon passing the Online Test, the student will be awarded 2 CEUs.
Reporting to CE Broker in Florida and Georgia only. All other jurisdictions, students must self report to Governing Body.
