Deep Tissue Massage Made Easy

Deep Tissue Made Easy 12 CEU Live Webinar

This course offers a set of guidelines designed to create healthy body mechanics when performing a massage and/or bodywork using the Point and Balance Technique.

These guidelines will show how to maximize the efficiency with which we work by showing how to use the laws of physics, rather than working against them.

This course is divided into three categories and offers guidelines on how to use and position your body, and how to perform massage therapy strokes in a manner that maximizes efficient delivery and minimizes stress on your body.

How to properly setup your massage table as a tool that is working with you, not against you.

While useful for all massage modalities, these techniques are all important when performing deep tissue work.

In this class you will learn:

  • The roles of body mechanics in massage therapy.

  • How the delivery of force in massage therapy is affected by gravity, table height and lubricant.

  • How foot positions and trunk orientation of the massage therapist affect the strength of delivery in massage therapy.

  • How delivery in massage therapy is affected by upper extremity joint alignment.

  • How to save your thumbs, wrists and back from injury

  • How the therapist’s use of larger muscles and a larger contact area improves the delivery of massage therapy.

Webinar Only. 12 LIVE CEU credits via ZOOM Webinar. THERE IS NO TEST AFTER WEBINAR. Attendance is required for credit. After completion of the Webinar, you will receive your Webinar Completion Certificate within 48 hours. Reporting to CE Broker in Florida and Georgia only.
